The Dales provides an excellent base for the great outdoors, with plenty of wonderful walking and cycling opportunities. Explore the beautiful surrounding countryside, visit the many Castles, Abbeys and Stately Homes in the area during your stay, or spend a relaxing hour or two in one of the many cosy Dales pubs which can be found tucked away in every corner.

Attractions

There's no shortage of attractions here, including 'The Forbidden Corner' in Coverdale, recently voted the best children's attraction in Yorkshire, and the renowned Wensleydale Cheese factory at Hawes.

Walking

For those who enjoy something a little more strenuous, visit Ingleton Waterfalls Walk with 4.5 miles of oak woodland and beautiful Dale's scenery and of course there is the impressive and towering 'Three Peaks' of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent which have been attracting walkers, climbers and ramblers for decades.
